Discreetly appointed with Shaker classics, and the hand-carved handrail to the second floor, you’ll know you’ve stepped into another time. Artist Gallery and Room Entrances
In keeping with Berkshire traditions of its natural beauty and its iconic
cultural scene, discovering and curating local artistry is a new draw for guests of the recently re-opened Inn. Take a slow walk down the long hallway and discover the Berkshires through the mind of an artist. With only four additional rooms in the Inn, you’ll escape into a quiet, peaceful bliss as you walk towards
your room.
Library
One step down the stairs into the original library from the Inn’s earliest days, and you’ll feel the relaxation settle in. With books galore, from stunning picture books to in-depth literary choices, and intriguing historical references, you’ll get acquainted with what surrounds you in the Berkshires. A fireplace, mantle and hearth will immediately grab your attention. With its equestrian art and fresh flowers, and a game area with comfortable chairs, this room will be a reason to return many times.
Sun Room
For meditation or for looking out into the Farm, a dirt road up the mountain, you’ll understand the barely noticeable touches. Hinges, drawer pulls, window and door latches, and perfectly blown glass windows, our Inn’s history is everywhere. A cup of locally-roasted coffee beans mixed with our secret local ingredients will lead you back for a second.
Breakfast Nook
Breakfast is prepared daily during the week as a Continental-style breakfast including egg options, bacon, fresh breads, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fantastic coffee from a favorite local roaster. On Saturdays and Sundays, our Chef brings her Italian NYC roots to the kitchen. Depending on what she hears from guests and what she imagines, it could be frittatas or wild blueberry pancakes. Or, her French toast mashup, or she may just stop into her favorite NY market or bakery for a selection of pastries difficult to find elsewhere. You will quickly define our breakfast experience as one of the very
best in the Berkshires.
